PIL is pleased to announce the acquisition of majority shareholding in Mariana Express Lines (MELL) with effect from 11th March 2015.

Based in Singapore and supported by 48 shipping agencies in 29 countries, MELL is a container line operator specializing in the niche markets within the Asia-Pacific region including Micronesia, Saipan, Guam, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia and Australia. MELL also operates a container depot in Davao, Philippines.

We believe that MELL’s capabilities will complement PIL's liner business and global network which also includes Pacific Direct Lines (PDL) and Advance Container Lines (ACL). This partnership will therefore enable both companies to synergise their current activities whilst opening up new opportunities for all customersand stakeholders simultaneously.

MELL will continue to operate under its own brand and regular business operations will not be affected by the change in ownership.
