Pacific International Lines (PIL) is proud to once again contribute to Singapore’s National Day celebrations by sponsoring 73 20-foot GP containers for the 2021 National Day Parade (NDP), which will be held on 21 Aug 2021. The NDP was postponed this year due to the stricter Covid-19 measures put in place under Singapore’s phase 2 (heightened alert).

Mr Teo Siong Seng, Executive Chairman of PIL said: “PIL is very happy to be able to once again celebrate Singapore’s birthday, with this year marking the sixth year of our support of the NDP since 2015. Like Singapore, PIL worked hard over the last year to overcome challenges, and we are now on track to become stronger and better. At the same time, PIL is privileged to continue our strong support of Singapore as a global maritime hub. To be able to celebrate National Day this year with everyone in Singapore therefore holds a special meaning for all of us at PIL. PIL wishes Singapore a happy 56th birthday and we look forward to participating in many more NDPs to come.”

The 73 containers are used for delivery of goods to the parade venue at the Float@Marina Bay, and ensuring the safe storage of NDP props and NDP fun packs.
