McKay Shipping Holdings Limited renamed PIL (New Zealand) Limited

As part of Pacific International Lines’ (PIL) commitment to the New Zealand market, PIL has acquired full ownership in McKay Shipping Holdings Limited (McKay) with effect from 14 November 2023. To better align with the PIL brand, McKay has been renamed to PIL (New Zealand) Limited (PIL (New Zealand)). Business operations carry on as usual for all customers, as PIL continues to focus and strengthen its presence in the region through PIL (New Zealand) Limited.

To oversee PIL’s business in New Zealand, Leonard Bentley has been appointed as Managing Director of PIL (New Zealand), succeeding Craig Harris who has stepped down as Managing Director of McKay. Leonard joined McKay in July 2023. He brings with him over two decades of experience in shipping, sales, operations and customer engagement.

Craig is staying on as an advisor to PIL (New Zealand) until late 2024 to ensure a smooth transition. PIL would like to thank Craig for his unwavering dedication and being instrumental in the success of McKay over the past four decades. Craig joined McKay in 1977, and he is one of the founding members of the company. PIL would like to wish Craig the very best in his new endeavours and we look forward to PIL (New Zealand) ’s growth and development under Leonard’s leadership.
