2022 marks PIL’s 55th anniversary. People are the key drivers supporting the company through the ups and downs in its 55-year journey.

To commemorate this significant milestone, PIL is producing an anniversary video to pay tribute to those, including our employees and seafarers, for their unstinting hard work and dedication towards PIL over the years.

On 26 January 2022, PIL’s top leadership team visited the vessel Kota Sejarah when it called at Singapore, to meet the ship crew and to participate in a filming session for the production of the anniversary video. The leadership team comprised Executive Chairman Mr S S Teo, Co-Presidents and Executive Directors Mr Gan Chee Yen and Mr Lars Kastrup, as well as General Manager of Fleet Mr Goh Chung Hun, Head of Marine Personnel Ms Tracy Gao and Head of Quality, Safety and Security Capt Peng Chu Xing.

During the visit, Mr Teo, Mr Gan and Mr Kastrup spoke to the crew of Kota Sejarah, led by Capt Kamran Roghay, and conveyed the company’s appreciation to them and other seafarers of PIL. Mr Teo emphasised that PIL would continue to put focus on the well-being of all seafarers, knowing the challenges which they face at ports around the world due to the ongoing restrictions.

On PIL’s 55th anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to caring, nurturing and developing our people.
