PIL Announces its Entry into the Transpacific

Pacific International Lines (PIL), Singapore, is pleased to announce its entry into the Transpacific trade with a fixed-day weekly container service linking the Far East to the US West Coast. The service, to be operated jointly with Wan Hai Lines (WHL) will commence on 17th March 2007 with a total of five (5) ships of 2,500 TEU-capacity each. Higher capacity vessels will be introduced in the near future.

The service itself IS NOT NEW AS WHL was operating it independently since mid 2001 providing the trade WITH good transit times AND excellent schedule integrity. PIL will be contributing one (1) ship IN the joint service, operating WITH a ROUND voyage OF 35 days ON the following port rotation:

Xiamen ? Yantian ? Hong Kong ? Kaohsiung ? LONG Beach ? Oakland ? Xiamen

IN ORDER TO provide good customer service TO our clients, PIL will incorporate a subsidiary COMPANY IN the USA WITH effect FROM February 2007. PIL has also appointed Norton Lilly WITH its extensive network AND experience IN the Far East trade, AS its US agent.
