Providing Industry Insights to Singapore Maritime IAP
20 April 2022

As a local Singapore shipping industry leader, Mr S.S. Teo, PIL’s Executive Chairman, contributed his views and insights at the Maritime International Advisory Panel (IAP) inaugural meeting on 6 April 2022. Held during the Singapore Maritime Week from 4 to 9 April 2022, the inaugural meeting was chaired by Minister for Transport and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Mr S Iswaran.

The Maritime IAP was set up by Singapore’s Ministry of Transport (MOT) and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), and comprises global business leaders from the maritime sector and adjacent industries. It aims to seek global perspectives on key trends that will shape the maritime industry.

Mr Teo commented, “It was an honour for me to participate in the discussions of the Maritime IAP and with Minister Iswaran on 6 Apr. I fully agree that the formation of the IAP would greatly contribute towards enriching the ongoing conversations in Singapore on how best members of the maritime sector can strengthen our collaboration to enhance the connectivity and resilience of the industry and supply chains. I look forward to PIL continuing to play a key role in supporting the growth and development of Singapore as a vibrant global maritime hub.”
