Fifteen Singapore Management University (SMU) undergraduates had the opportunity to visit Shanghai to understand the importance of the city as an international maritime hub underthe Maritime Economics Concentration (MEC) with the School of Economics.

The seven days Industry Study Mission brought the undergraduates to the offices of PIL China Head office, PIL Logistics and Singamas where they were treated to a series ofpresentations and tours to understand deeper on the operations of the organisation.

To gain greater insight of Shanghai maritime, the group also visited other maritime spot such as Yangshan Deepwater Port and Shanghai Maritime University facilitated by PIL.
