PIL Expands Strategic Footprint in Latin America with Launch of Two New Feeder Services
Pacific International Lines (PIL) is enhancing its Latin America network with the introduction of two dedicated feeder services – West Coast Central America Feeder 1 (CA1) and West Coast Central America Feeder 2 (CA2). These services will strengthen PIL’s connectivity to key markets in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and El Salvador, complementing PIL’s existing West Coast South America (WCSA) routes.
The launch of CA1 and CA2 offers customers more comprehensive and efficient access to Central American ports and reinforces PIL’s commitment to supporting trade growth across the region. Across Latin America, PIL currently operates five service routes to serve its customers.
Mr William Ho, General Manager of Long Haul Trade, Line Management, PIL, said “The introduction of our West Coast Central America feeder services reflects PIL’s continued support of Latin America’s growing trade landscape. By expanding our network and deploying more vessels, we are improving service coverage and helping customers capture the region’s growth potential. It demonstrates our commitment to putting customers first, with a future-focused mindset of delivering tailored solutions that meet evolving market needs.”
The CA2 service will commence operations on 31 August 2025 from Lázaro Cárdenas, Mexico, while CA1 will begin on 9 September 2025 from Buenaventura, Colombia. These services will leverage PIL’s modern fleet and operational expertise to ensure seamless integration with its broader global network.
