Misdeclaration includes but is not limited to incorrect/partial declaration, late declaration, alteration or omission of such declaration.

In addition to this charge, we wish to highlight that amongst others, the shipper and consignee will be held liable and responsible for all corrective measures, claims, fines, liabilities, losses, delays, damages or expenses arising in consequence of such misdeclaration. Charges for Change of Destination [DIV]

Effective 1 November 2021, as part of PIL/carrier’s tariff, a charge of USD150 per TEU is being imposed globally upon the shipper and/or consignee for any Change of Destination in shipment against the Bill of Lading.

“Change of Destination” is defined as the customer-initiated request for a change of the port of discharge (POD) for the received shipment. This occurs when a shipment has been received and gated-in at the origin port of loading (POL) before arrival at the final port of discharge (POD).

The Change of Destination charge does not include fees for the re-issuance/split of the Bill of Lading, which, if applicable, will be charged separately. All additional costs incurred for Change of Destination, including but not limited to re-stowage, re-positioning, loading or unloading costs, detention and/or demurrage costs, or inland haulage, shall be borne by the shipper and/or consignee for the diversion, to be paid in full prior to the release of the shipment.
